Task 2d: Enquiry

Finally I am posting the final task of part 2. It is extremely late due a number of things in both my personal and professional life taking over in the last couple of weeks. It is so difficult sometimes to find time, and as usual everything happened at once and "life" took over. I hope the inhabitants of the blogosphere haven't forgotten me in my absence and I would love to hear your thoughts on my piece.

HI Liam, nice to see you back on the blog. You forgot to put the setting so that we can all read your work... once you've done that you'll be truly back in the game!

Hi Don't worry I'm sure 'life' was far more educational than anything else that could have happened!!

I didn't have permission to look at the file!!
Take care

Hi liam,

Hope you are well. i realy enjoyed reading your Enquiry, I realy like your point about do you need to understand where you are going yet?!

I my self struggle with this as i like to plan and know where i am going, in lots of diferent aspects of life, like my career and personal life, i often find it odd when people say they are going for a drive! as i couldnt imagine not knowing where i was going.
I often admire people who can have a 'wait and see attitude' how ever i am not one of these people.
you will have to let me know how it goes taking a lewis look on life!

I think the whole idea of the exercise is to have a look at what you are doing and where you ‘might’ want to go. Getting the ideas out there are the important thing right now - and the honesty of your thinking through the 'task' is apparent. When I think of my younger self doing some of this same thinking – but not in a learning programme – I wished I had looked into what was possible and the routes for various pathways. I am not sure it would have changed things, but preparing for the short and mid term future are sort of the ‘flag’ we are flying in the course because many are in transition – either personally or professionally AND sometimes both. So the professional networking segment should also help the mapping out process – you can let us know.

I am just in my planning phase of my next educational programme - now at Middlesex – so the application is underway for that AND I get to try out APEL for real – a real incentive for my PGCert HE.
